Sunday Groups
Sunday Discoverers is our group for children aged 3 to 10.
They meet every 1st and 3rd Sundays during our Holy Communion services, although only in term-time.
The children leave the service after the first hymn and then rejoin their families in time for communion.
Sunday Discoverers are split into 2 groups, the Sparklers aged 3 to 7 and the explorers aged 7 to 10 and meet in the mezzanine and vestry respectively, where they discover more about our creator. The sessions are based on the theme of the service that their families will be experiencing in the service. The children learn through bible stories, song, activities and often a craft; the sessions always include prayer.
Sunday Connect is our group for children aged 10+.
They meet in The Oast (in the car park of The Bear) every 1st and 3rd Sundays
during our Holy Communion services, although only in term-time.
The children go straight there at 9.30am rather than to church first.
At the end of the session the group walks back to church to rejoin their families in time for communion.
Sunday Connect is a session where the youth can relax over breakfast and chat and build their relationship with Jesus and each other. Each session is based on the theme of the service that will be taking place in church which allows the youth to explore more with their families when the session has finished.
