Bell Ringing

St Mary’s has a band of ringers who ring for every Sunday service.

The band of ringers also are available for weddings and really enjoy being involved in their special day of celebrations.

They have recently had a set of hand bells restored and hope to use these too.

If you are interested in becoming a bell ringer either the church bells or the hand bells or both, please contact the Belfry Captain, Daphne Brooker, on 07485 099890

We also welcome visiting bell ringers to ring the beels throughout the year. If you wish to visit, please contact Lisa Gibbs-Murray, our church administrator on admsmht@gmail.com or 07927 939116

HATCH

HATCH (Hartfield Action Together with Coleman’s Hatch) is a volunteer service offers that practical help to anyone living in the parishes of Hartfield and Coleman’s Hatch experiencing difficulties arising from illness, infirmity, accident or hardship.  It was launched by the two churches as a Millennium project in 2001.  Since then it has become ever clearer that isolation and loneliness are real problems in rural areas, particularly for those who can no longer drive as they get older, and HATCH volunteers do their best to respond to that need. Most of the requests received are for transport – to hospital, surgery or other medical appointments, and occasionally for social visits. There is no age restriction: we will respond to requests to people in need of help of any age.

If you wish to use this service please contact our phone line on 01892 771331 on Monday, Wednesday or  Friday from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Chronicle

The Chronicle is an entirely local parish magazine which includes all the events for the church and anything else going on in Hartfield.

A team of volunteers ensures that it gets distributed to all its subscribers, you will also find copies to buy in St Mary’s church.
