Opening hours
St Mary the Virgin Church is usually open:
- Sunday 9.30am until 12pm (for our service)
- Monday – 9am to 12.30pm
- Tuesdays – 9am to 3pm
- Wednesdays – 9am to 3pm
- Thursdays – 9am to 3pm
- Friday – 7.30am to 4pm
- Saturday – 7.30am to 4pm
Accessibility
Toilets
There is one disabled accessible toilet in the church building which is available during services and events.
Baby changing facilities
There is baby changing facilities in the one toilet in the church.
Access into and around building
The West Door is on a level so no ramp is required for access. This door is only open for services and events. All doors within the building are sufficient wide for wheelchairs. There are steps to the communion rail although communion can be given to you in your seat if that is easier.
The south porch does have steps but does not have ramped access.
Car parking
There is NO parking at the church. On the weekends you can park at the school, otherwise parking is on the high streets with limited parking on Church Street. Please do not park in The Bear Inn car park, this is strictly for patrons only.
Defibrillator
The nearest defribrillator is located at Hartfield Village Hall (found on the High Street, postcode TN7 4AA).
Churchyard
Our churchyard surrounds the church.
A churchyard plan of the graves can be found in the south porch. If you are trying to locate one but are not sure where it is, please contact us.
Bellringers
Visiting bellringers are very welcome.
